LOREN, SOPHIA - Signature on 8x10 B&W portrait

SOPHIA LOREN (b. 1934) - Signature on classic wet t-shirt portrait from Boy on a Dolphin. An illegimate child, Sophia Loren -- real name Sophia Villani Scicolone --  grew up in the slums of Pozzuoli, just outside Naples. As a little girl, she was so skinny, her playmates called her "The Stick." After insignificant parts in over a dozen Italian films, including Quo Vadis (1951), she met movie-director Carlo Ponti, some 22 years her senior, whom she later married. He changed her named to "Sophia Loren" and guided her career, giving her prominent roles in his film while promoting image as an international sex syumbol. Though recognized as one of the most beautiful women in the world, she received an Academy Award for gritty, dramatic perfomance in Vittorio De Sica's powerful Two Women (1960).  She has garnered over 50 international nominations and awards and remains one of the screen's most sought after actresses.  This is an authentic, hand-signed autograph -- not a facsimile, reprint or reproduction -- and is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.

CONDITION: Glossy photo is in NEAR MINT condition. Black marker signature is crisp and clean.
